Mart Kangro (1974) is a widely renowned Estonian choreographer and performer. After graduating from Tallinn University he joined the Estonian National Opera for a few years. Then he changed classical dance to contemporary, and devoted himself to his own creations. He often makes solo work, but has also collaborated on several occasions with German choreographers Thomas Lehmen and Christina Ciupke. Mart Kangro has already directed 8 dance performances, in which he explores the precision and clarity of movement. He often puts himself in the centre of the production, and does it with intelligent humour and charm.
